History in SL: I moved here from Clinton, New York in 6th grade when my dad became the manager of the Telephone Company. I never dreamed I’d get a job here teaching at the same school I first attended. In 2002 , I was especially honored to be given the SL School District Employee of the Year Award. I have so enjoyed raising my children here and continue to love the comfort level SL offers when it comes to knowing so many people and having such good friends. I feel fortunate to have enjoyed Winder Carnival in many ways: being on the court in HS, advising the court for years and watching my own kids enjoy and participate, being the Chamberlain in 2008, and now this. It’s great! I particularly enjoy family, impromptu gatherings with friends, reading, snowshoeing with my puppy, Jasmyn, and relaxing at our summer camp.
I am very thankful to be selected to join all of the wonderful queens who have come before me. Saranac Lake is truly a special place.
