2009 Grand Marshall – Jerry Cavallo

            Jerry was born and raised in Saranac Lake. He graduated from Saranac Lake High School. After high school he went onto college at Plattsburgh State. Jerry and his brother Joe Cavallo, Jr. are third generation owners of the Belvedere Restaurant which has been in business since 1933. He has been married to Joanne for 25 wonderful years. They are the parents of Chris and Alyssa. Jerry was a member of the Carnival Court in 1974, as were Chris in 2004 and Alyssa in 2005. Jerry says Winter Carnival is the best 2 weeks of the year. It brings friends and family together for one common cause. This is to promote Saranac Lake as the greatest place in the world to be from. It is an honor to be chosen as this years Grand Marshal and he is looking forward to the 2009 Winter Carnival festivities.
