ROGER STEINBRUECK

Roger is the son of Aurelia and Leo Steinbrueck and has four brothers. He is married to Kathy, whom he married in Basel, Switzerland and has one son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Cari. Roger graduated from high school in St. Louis, Mo. and studied cooking at Cordon Bleu in Paris. He was previously the executive chef at the Gloucester House in New York City then at the Lake Placid Hilton for 11 years.  He and his wife now own and operate Scott’s Florist and Greenhouse. His interests include curling, cooking, gardening and cross-country skiing. Roger was instrumental in founding the Saranac Lake Youth Center, formerly The Getaway. He has served on the church council at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity as president and treasurer. Roger is a member of the Lake Placid Curling Club, Kiwanis, the Saranac Lake River Corridor Commission and The Village Improvement Society.
