FLOWERBALL

Never thought there could be a use for a bowling ball on ice? Think again! Introducing FlowerBall, developed by "Flags on the Flower Ice Fishing Gang", a group of ice fisherman who found a way to keep occupied when the fish weren't biting on Lake Flower. FlowerBall is best described as a cross between shuffleboard and curling, and fun!

The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival has several contests that don't require athletic ability. Here is a sampling.

Woltner Summit contracting Spike of Ice Icicle Contest

Another quirky Winter Carnival event is the Spike of the Ice Icicle Contest in which contestants transport naturally formed icicles to compete for the longest intact icicle.

Winter Carnival Accepting Parade and Vendor Applications
2016-12-02 - Applications for vendors and parade performers participating during the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival are now available online at www.saranaclakewintercarnival.com. Applications can also be picked up at the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at 193 River Street.
