Bob Seidenstein was the first person she met, and despite that, she stayed. Bob, a true ambassador, enthusiastically introduced her to his hometown. In fact, it was as a member of Bob's Winter Carnival Parade Unit, "The Free Spirits" that she met her future husband Bill. Together they have raised their three fantastic children: Chloe, Quinlan, and Phoebe. In the 33 years since moving to her dream location, Lynda has worked at Saranac Lake School, first as an English teacher and now as the High School Dean of Students. During that time she has loved becoming part of the fabric of the community, serving on the PeeWee Hockey Board, helping with Fun Runs, and now working with her second generation of students.
